117.0. "Rebel Metal from the South" by USHS01::DAVIS2 (You need wings to stay above it.) Wed Jun 22 1988 05:42

    	   Southern rockers... who are they? Where are they hiding?
    	I can remember a band called Molly Hatchet... there must be
    	others from south of the Mason-Dixon line... surely!

    	-=[MOSAT]=-
    	(transplanted Tennesseean in search of southern rock)

117.1Where'd this one go?PAR5::C_DENOPOULOSTue Jun 28 1988 12:441
    I saw Black Oak Arkansas years ago. What ever happened to them?
117.2The south's gonna do it again!STC::MILLERMon Jul 18 1988 22:1711
    How about the Georgia Satelites? I really wouldn't classify them
    as Heavy Metal....but, they do play Rock-N-Roll. They are an up
    and coming southern band. And how about Tom Petty? He's another
    southern rocker that just won't quit. And how about the three
    "little" boys from a little Texas town??? Yes, ZZ Top. Are they
    still rockin'?....or what!?!?! I could go on, and on, and on but,
    I think you get the point. Southern rock is not dead, just maybe
    not quite as popular as is was when I was teen.

     Signed...A California born...always a southern rock...now residing
      in South Carolina...still rockin at 30...etc... Bob
