1293.0. "OPENGL IN DUNIX V-3.2G" by BARNA::DSMAIL () Thu May 22 1997 05:35

A program OPENGL in Release 3.2G of Digital unix,doesn't work, and the system
give the follow errors.
The controller is a ZLXp-E, and the programs are the examples of the product.

Any idea will be really appreciated.

Please post the server error file and the version of Open3D installed.

It is curious that GLX is listed in the extensions but no visuals
support OpenGL. I am not sure what that implies.

1293.3Just more questions...VESPER::VESPEROpenGL Alpha GeekFri May 23 1997 10:1130
Well, there is certainly no message about lack of license.

I don't understand why the GL Extension is being initialized
multiple times for one server cycle:

At this point I don't know what to make of this.

I suggest you enter a formal PTT.

Andy V
1293.4WRKSYS::COULTERIf this typewriter can't do it, ...Fri May 23 1997 11:5213
    This note basically says that "OpenGL with a ZLXp-E
    card doesn't work". That's just not true. So please
    don't file PTT's or anything with just that little bit
    of information.

    I'd suggest de-installing Open3D, then re-install it,
    allowing it to install everything (don't attempt to pick
    and choose). Re-build your kernel. It should work. If
    it doesn't, then start farther back by re-installing UNIX
    itself.

    ZLXp-E's work with OpenGL; there is something else wrong.
