1256.0. "ZLXp-L2, D-UNIX 4.0B, Open3D 4.2" by GYPOS3::EIBL (Reinhard Eibl @FKR, DTN 865-4027) Thu Mar 06 1997 12:43
Hello all,
have problems to get a ZLXp-L2 card work on an AS 600. Checked everything i
know of: Firmware, UNIX vs. Open3D version, installed subsets, Kernel config,
presence of non-Digital memory, ... The graphical interface during 4.0B
installation works fine, so vga mode should be ok.
Have 2 "NVRAM parameters invalid" messages during boot (see below).
Can this prevent the X server startup ?
Any other idea what may be wrong ?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
/Reinhard

| Problem solved. Customer must have made some errors during or after
the D-UNIX installation which are not detected by "setld -i",
e.g. the rc.config file was not present.
After a new installation of the operating system and Open3D
now everything works fine.
