While not having seen this before, I'd start by recommending you use Open3D v4.2. Also, what is running when this happens? Any 3D programs, or is it all 2D things? How much memory does the system have? What OS and Open3D versions were WORKING, before the change to UNIX 4.0a? Has any application changed? Was CDE in use before? Is it actually running multi-head?

As far as I know they are running V17 of Pro/ENGINEER >> How much memory does >> the system have? 256M. I noticed that they were also using lazy swap. Could this happen if they ran out of swap? >> What OS and Open3D versions were WORKING, >> before the change to UNIX 4.0a? I think they were at V3.2A. I'm not sure of the Open3D version. >> Has any application changed? I think Pro/E went from V16 to V17. Is it normal fo an application to able to kill the X server. >> Was CDE in use before? No >> Is it actually running multi-head? No. Does the "MHEAD_LGI flag is enabled" indicate that i is? Thanx John [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]
