I have a customer who has been developing on MME in the past and has recently bought a new DEC Alpha and installed Digital UNIX on it and also installed Multimedia services from the Associated products CD that comes with V4. He has moved his old code to this box but cannot compile it. on examination the MMEDEV subset is missing from the distribution. how can he get the MMEDEV subset? its present on the old box but recent versions dont seem to supply it anymore? The Multimedia services he's installing is V2.2. thanks in advance, Ian Hawley.

504.1 | Development kit only shipped on Layered Product CD | NNTPD::"[email protected]" | Chip Dancy | Thu May 29 1997 11:33 | 10 |
The Development Subset requires a license (pak) and is only shipped on the Layered Product CD (officially named the Digital UNIX Alpha Software Product Library). The license for the Runtime Kit (including all the other subsets) has been eliminated. The Runtime Kit is shipped as FIS(Factory Installed Software), and with the Associated Product CD. However, if the customer already has a developer's license, he could also obtain it from the web at ftp://ftp.digital.com/private/MME/MME220_CD.tar [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] | |||||
