| If you are looking for wood specifically for guitar building,
Luthier's Merchantile is probably your' best bet. They sell
just about anything relating to guitar building. Stewart
MacDonald is another good source. What do you need?
As far as routing guitar bodies, I'm not sure what you have
in mind. If you are looking to rout a body for differant
pickups, there are tons of music stores around that will do
this, although very few that I would trust. In fact, this is
something that I wouldn't do to *any* guitar.

| I'm looking for fresh cut unseasoned wood. After my own seasoning
process I need someone to rout it for me. All the well known suppliers
supply bodies already seasoned. I can't get one of them to get me a
plank of fresh cut tone wood.

I'm still very sketchy on what it is you're trying to accomplish.
I find it odd that you wish to season the wood yourself (you got
your' own kiln?) but you need to farm out a relatively simple job
of routing a piece of wood. Anyone with a router and a few templates
can rout a guitar body for pickups, controls, etc.
I'm guessing that most companies that sell guitar bodies and necks
buy their woods already seasoned. Setting up their own kiln would
not be cost-affective. They probably don't have any unseasoned wood
on-hand to sell you.
Please provide more insight into what you're trying to do. Exactly
what type of wood are you looking for?

| The process that I want to experiment with has nothing to do with
kilns. The seasoning I want to do myself (I'll elaborate when I'm
done, but suffice it to say it does not include heat).
The net result will be a slab of wood that is suitable to form a body
out of. I don't have the tools or the time to cut this into a strat
or tele style body (tone wood would probably determine which one),
hence my need for someone who can.

| Highland Hardwoods has a very nice supply of exotic hardwoods. Route
125 in Epping, NH or thereabouts. Depending on the routing you want
done - I'd be happy to help out (if I am able to do what you want to
do). Call me if you want to talk more about your project.
