| From what I've seen, these are nice guitars for the money. Well made,
with good tone and several useful sounds. They also have a
cheesey/futuristic vibe that's kind of fun and come in some wild
colors. GP magazine has reviewed these very favorably fwiw. If I
were 12, I'd want one (heck, I still do :-).
The original Talman bodies were made of some hi-tech composite; as such
they played very smooth and even, but seemed oddly "different" from
wood. I just read that they've switched to wood bodies on these for
the current models, but since this one seems to have been hanging
around I'd bet it's the composite job.

| I tried one of these myself and thought it looked interesting, and
the neck had a nice feel to it. To me it looks like a take-off on
the Charvel Surf-Caster.
