The defense requests for jury instructions were being ruled on by da judge, and it just so happens that the requests are labelled D1, D2, D3,...etc. They're on about D35 or D36 when Ito says, "This is beginning to sound like a Martin guitar catalog." One of the attorneys goes, Huh?", and Ito says "forget about it." I can just imagine Ito up late at night mulling over some ruling, and he picks up his old Martin and strums a few Joni Mitchell tunes to ease the pressure. And I bet this is the first reference ever made to a Martin guitar in a murder trial involving a famous ex-football player!

Not guitar humor but...
Did you hear O.J. complain about the temperature in the courtroom?
He said "Man, it's cold in here". Ito says "it's fine". O.J.
says, "well, I'm cold". Ito says "I'm plenty warm". O.J. says
"that's because you're wearing a robe". Ito says "Look, I said
the temperature is just fine"!!
O.J. says "well then, can I at least have my gloves back"??
