Hi folks, going straight towards Xmas I am looking for two wireless guitar-systems. I've seen one of Shure in Orlando beginning of this year, and it was only about $250. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the store, so I can order it there. I've bought it for a friend that time so I'm pretty sure about that low price. Ok, the questions: - If you'd recommend a wireless guitar system, what's your opinion about the shure (in comparission with others). Prices ??? - About the stores I don't remember. The one in Orlando is called something like "MUSICLAND". If you come from Orlando (I4 I think) it is on the right of the Interstate (direction Disney/Universal). If someone could give me the phone- or Fax-Number it would be of help. Another store I remember is in Washington DC. It's a huge one and I think it is called "Washington Music Center". Don't have their business cards either. Last but not least Sam Ash. I haven't been there, but there are a lot of guys in this conference talking about it. Want to contact them for a catalogue. Thanks a lot ChriS

Well... i think the thing you want to keep in mind is the features. The biggest gap in price between the lower priced units (<$300) and the higher priced units is in the transmitters. The higher priced units frequently have a feature known as "true divirsity". Basically, this means that the transmitter works on several frequencies simultaneously, and the combined results are used as a type of RF "noise reduction." True divirsity systems are much less prone to interference from other sources (including other wireless systems.) In my opinion, within each price range, the various products tend to be the same. Some people claim to be able to hear sonic differences. Such sonic differences tend to impress/distress different people in different ways, so I think the only solution, once you decide on a basic feature set you want, is to try them out and see which one you prefer. -b

OK, who's using Markey's account to create rumors??? I'm sure he knows that "true diversity" technology relies on multiple receivers, not multiple transmission frequencies as this impostor claims. Don't we have a note in here on wireless systems? The base noter might want to read through these, and then consider whether the frequencies used are available (and legal) in his location.
