    I don't know if you'll find anything online, but most larger music
    stores carry the bass and/or guitar charts for many popular bands
    like the ones you've mentioned (I've got one for Steely Dan... use it
    all the time to keep my sight reading chops up). These charts are
    usually written in Tab (yuck!!) and Bass Clef. My advise is to
    forget learning to read tab and make the extra effort to learn
    bass clef("real music"). Also, there are several fine instructional
    videos by the likes of Chuck Rainey, Billy Sheehan, Beaver Felton
    and Stu Hamm that would be of better use to the beginner than
    trying to read charts to popular tunes...

    I've been received a message with "you're ftp request is ok.." or
    something like that but no tablatures...

    there is the message I've send:

    to: DECWRL::ftpmail
    subj:

    reply EVOAI2::secu_ldv
    connect ftp.nevada.edu
    chdir pub/bass
    ls
    ascii
    get pub/bass/index
    quit

Since you already did:
    chdir pub/bass
you should change
    get pub/bass/index
to
    get index

    Nothing, nothing, nothing, just the "your request has been received"
    Is it a problem with ftp?
    Thanks for your help...
    I will try again later.
