I've been trying to work out the lead part to Canned Heat's "Let's Work
Together". I just cannot seem to 'hear' the notes especially the
distinctive fill at the end of most lines (it also occurs at the end of
the intro). The problem is probably due to the harmonics caused by the
distortion used.
Can anyone give me some idea of what's being played? Tab would do
nicely.

| 2914.1 | If I had a recording of it... | COOKIE::S_JENSEN | Mon Apr 25 1994 09:39 | 12 | |
Since this has been sitting here a while, I assume nobody knows it or
is interested in figuring it out. I don't know it either, but if
anyone locally (Colorado Springs) has a recording of this song they'd
let me borrow, I'll try to figure it out for Richard. A cassette off
of a CD is perfect (but any recording with reasonable fidelity is fine)
-- you'll get the cassette back. If I can figure it out, I'll post the
tab here for everyone.
Any takers?

steve,
Thanks for showing interest. I *think* I have it it just that the
lead part on the record seems to induce all sorts of harmonics because
its played with overdrive. The harmonics confuse my ears to hell. I
think it may just be a question of playing with various overdrive
seetings to get the right 'sound'. Whether its possible to reproduce
this on a Strat I don't know. Probably the original is played on a
Gibson..
