| Well this is a little premature but probably things will move fast now. Yesterday
the plant manager called everyone into the cafe here at ASO to announce the
"good news" (his words). We're not being closed, but "there are several parties
that have approached Digital to purchase, lock stock, barrel and employees
the ASO facility, complete with both the contract manufacturing business as
well as the current Digital manufacturing load. Expect to see both the customers
and plenty of high level Digital management in the plant over the next few
weeks."
So I assume that this means that a deal is in the works and I'll be gone soon.
I guess manufacturing isn't a core competancy.
It's a relief in one respect, no more wondering if/when ASO would close. On the
other hand there's plenty of stress available if one wishes to worry about the
new owner.
I'll miss, most of all, you guys here in guitar. The humor, help and product
reviews have changed me and my playing, hopefully for the better. I've met
precious few of you in person over my 10+ years at Digital and wish that I
could have met all of you. For any long term survivors in Digital I hope you
realize what a precious resource you have in notes. I wish you all the best of
luck as Digital becomes a haven for overpaid suits who contract out everything.

ps: the good news? I don't have to worry about CNS!

Well, send me your address ... we need to keep in touch, otherwise,
you'll have no one to direct your new equipment purchases! 8^)

| I guess we'll be down to only 1 db. That's kinda low for a GUITAR
notesfile.
Good luck to you - we'll miss you.

I sure hope it works out to your benefit!
God bless!
