2822.0. "national guitar book" by CHEFS::IMMSA (adrift on the sea of heartbreak) Tue Oct 05 1993 07:27

    Whilst on the subject of books (see the previous note), I see that
    Bob Brozman has finally published a tome on National Guitars.

    It's $39.95 from Elderly.

    Anyone seen this and like to comment?

    yeah, I own it. If you're into Nationals, it's a must have.
    I would have liked a few more color shots, but I'm being greedy;
    there are still quite a few good ones. Otherwise, it's packed
    full of detail about the history of the instrument, some of the
    early players, construction, identification, setup tips, advice
    for players, you name it. More info about Nationals than has ever
    been assembled in one place and more than you'll probably ever need
    or want. Everything you've read or heard about this book is true.

    One interesting item: Bob is very favorable on the current Nationals
    being built (although not necessarily the current Dobros; a different
    company). Evidently he's given them a lot of input, particularly
    regarding their resonator cones.
