I have a question for you guitar "trivia" experts; I used to own a Gretsch solid body electric, but I can't for the life of me remember what model it was. It looked similar to the Ernie Ball/ Music Man guitar that Van Halen uses, but it had a neck/headstock similar to the Paul Reed Smith. It was also equipped with 2 humbuckers. I had to sell this guitar a long time ago (I regret it now, as I loved the way it played and sounded) and I'd like to keep an eye out for one. Any help you can give, or if you own one of these "Mystery Gretsch's" and would like to sell it, please let me know...... Thanks! Mike

Sounds kind of like a solid body that Gretsch called The Beast. Not sure if it had an actual model number or just that stupid name. Brian

Is this the model that had a fairly thin body, and a single cutaway (with a more pointed 'horn' on it)? Let me check my old issues of 'Guitar Player' for any ads. Cal C.
