| I haven't seen any Wolf Marshall recordings. How about some of these
other guys like Beaver Felton and Richard Daniels?
What I *really* wanna hear is this rock opera that Mike Varney and
Marty Balin (of Jefferson Airplane) collaborated on in the early
eighties and recorded for EMI. This was just before Varney cranked up
his Schrapnel label.

Just before the "Spotlight" column started in GP, there was an
interview with Mike, including a picture of him mangling an SG. In
there he mentioned the project with Balin.

I thought that was Fats Waller??? Or maybe Fats Domino??? Possibly
Fat Albert... Or was it really Minnesota Fats??
Did Black Sabbath's bass player have "modified" finger tips, also?

| Varney also did a cut on his second American Metal compilation,
curiously titled "American Metal II". Don't ask me what he sounds
like though, I haven't heard either of these.
