I just picked up a Champ 25 SE the new tube amp from Fender
and I love the sound. Got it for $329.00 and I am so happy with
it. Nice quiet tube sound, great upgrade from the Champ 12.

there was one up at Ted's in Manchester last time I was up there. It looked like a hybrid - transistor preamp with tube power amp. I'd say it was mighty nicely constructed. There were spring retainer "hats" for the power tubes. It sounded MUCH better than a Champ12. Please Pat, tell us more! | |||||

Pat,
25 watts into a 12" speaker, eh? What is the speaker (watts) rating?
Does it 'breakup' nicely?
Also, how does the reverb sound? Does it compare favorably to
other (e.g., Twin) Fender reverb units?
Thanks,
-pat
