I think that an Elvis Strat has sold for more that $180,000.

| I would never have associated Elvis with a Strat,I never saw any

| hey, I found an "Elvis Gibson Moderne" in a crawl-hole in my cellar.
It's dated April 30, 1958. Any idea what I can get for it? I was
thinking of asking $150.

Nope. Hendrix's Strat sold at a London Auction about 2 years ago for
$324,000. Some collector in Italy bought it. Mitch Mitchell, Jimi's
drummer, owned it before that.

| the guy who bought Jimi Hendrix's strat got the rate of exchange
between lire and pounds wrong and thougth he bought it for 18 thousand
where as it was really 180 thousand.
