Re: hold on The guitar is my ESP and the amp is the midi-rack. The other guitar is a charvel of some sort through a boogie. The ESP has EMG 81 for the humbucker and it's almost single coil sounding. re: On the mountain This is a studio track where we used a drum machine. I played my parts through the rivera with the ESP and a quadraverb. Both tracks are with my current music partners the first features the band the the second features the singer and myself. Thanks for the swell review dbii

A quick response on Buck's review. The first cut was done live, with the KH rack. The band on this cut was Glyfix. Pretty much representative of what the band was all about at the time. I agree with the guitar being a little back in the mix, wish I could've fixed it but it was done two-track live! The second entry of mine (R n' R party in the street) was Chemistry. It was done on a Tascam four track and even though the mix is better I wish I'd redone the guitar tracks for a better sound. Don't ask me why (cuz I don't know) but I used the GSP-21 direct into the Tascam and tried (not hard enough obviously) to make up the sound with the speaker simulator. But WTF, it's there now. I won't use that guitar sound again because I don't have a GSP-21 anymore!!!!! Next time - ACCESS! -B()()M-

i'm glad you omitted the track you did, because I had doubts from the moment i sealed the pouch. (although it did remind me much of teen angst, that long ago feeling...) i'm suprised the acoustic number got selected, if only that the over- whelming discussion in this conference is electric in nature. I felt this one would be left off if any. and yes, cliches IS annoying - 'twas the point, and thank you very much for the compliment on the riff. bob

re: The length of my tune Buck's right. This song is a tad too long, but since they weren't my lyrics (or the lyrics of someone I know well) I didn't feel comfortable "editing" them. (Ok I admit it, I had no self restraint ;^) ) |
