2482.0. "Addison Al" by SAHQ::ROSENKRANZ (Less is More) Wed Mar 25 1992 14:47
Well this probably is more of a trivia question than anything else
but one of the best guitarists I remember from my formative years
in the sixties was a fellow in the Chicago area named "Addison"
(I guess he was from Addison) Al DeCarlo. He was in a local band
named the "Bangor Flying Circus".
They were quite popular in Chicago area and recorded an Album and
eventually dissappeared to California. I believe they were then
involved in the movie Electro-glide in Blue. I think they
contributed to the soundtrack or something. Also the organ player,
"Hawk" (excellent in his own rite), played a bit part in the movie.
I think he was the hippie in the van at the end.
I think they may have also released a second album while California
based.
Anyone else ever heard of these guys?? Any idea what happened to
them ?
