2457.0. "Boss ME-10 and ME-6" by FRETZ::HEISER (stop making sense!) Thu Feb 27 1992 13:59
Yet still another entry in the the multi-EFX floor processors (are they
telling us something?). Actually these succeed the Boss ME-5.
Refer to the new Roland User's mag for more details.
Boss ME-10:
- Same sturdy pedals as the FC-100 controller.
- 9 Effects are: Compression, Overdrive, Noise Suppressor, Amp
Simulator, EQ/Wah, Phaser/Flanger/Pitch Shifter, Delay Chorus, and
Reverb. All can be used simultaneously.
- built-in chromatic tuner
- 16 bit CPU
- 128 patches
- external effects loop
- shuttle dial for program editing.
- dedicated button for every parameter.
Boss ME-6:
- different casing than the one above, looks like plastic.
- 6 effects are: Compression, Overdrive/Distortion, 3 band EQ, Delay,
Chorus/Flanger, and Reverb. All can be used simultaneously.
- 18 bit A/D conversion at 44.1kHz sampling rate and 16 bit D/A
conversion.
- 25 patches with off/on status
- parameter settings for each effect
- master volume level
- has a manual mode

Mike,
Are any prices included in the Roland mag? Also does anyone know the
how these units compare to the ME-5 (outside of the obvious difference
in number of effects).

| Roland never puts prices in there.

2457.3 | Why do they do this??? | GOES11::G_HOUSE | Now I'm down in it | Thu Feb 27 1992 15:40 | 5 |
| THREE band EQ? When will the idiots designing these things learn that
these just don't cut it? I can't figure out why they keep putting
these chintzy effects into units like this.

2457.4 | User feedback? (Pun intended...) | MSBCS::ASHFORTH | | Wed Sep 01 1993 11:12 | 6 |
| I noticed a used ME10 up for sale somewhere, and I wondered if anyone on the net
has (or has at least used) one, and could offer an opinion on its sounds.
Thanks-
Bob
