Here's another thumbs up for Kingfisher music in Fleet. A great shop if
you don't mind driving a couple hundred miles (!) is LiveWire in Cardiff,
Wales. I know its a long drive, but I got a great deal on my Ibanez
there (and visted some friends at the same time 8^) ). To me it was
worth the trip.

2352.3 | All that Poundage for 2nd hand? | NEMAIL::LOUVAT | | Fri Oct 18 1991 13:17 | 11 |
| I was just flashing through the notes and ran across your request for
some second hand classicals....I'm sorry that I can't be of any assis-
tance to you, but when I saw that price tag of seemingly exorbidant
size I got to wondering what it translates to in American currency. You
did say 2nd hand did you not?
I just bought a 2nd hand flat-top for $150.00 that is quite a nice
instument. It's an Ovation with a pickup in the saddle that really puts
out a nice accoustic sound thru a recording board. I guess it origion-
ally went for around $400. to $450. It does suit my purposes quite well
as I do my own multi-track things in my home....
Just wondering.....................................................

2352.4 | need dealer info - Norwich area | RUTILE::COX | Take the challenge to your heart. | Mon Jul 13 1992 10:49 | 18 |

I know it's an old note, but it seems an appropriate place for this :
I'm going to be in the UK in about two weeks time, but only for a
weekend. I'll be in Norwich almost all of that time visiting my folks,
but I'd really like to take the opportunity to buy an electric guitar
( considering Squire Strat ) and an amp. However, I don't know where I
might find a reasonable dealer with reasonable prices. ( I've looked
around here and been horrified by some of the price tags in Geneva -
some practice amps are _double_ the UK cost. I found that I could
have paid nearly 150 less in the UK for my keyboard ).
If any of you UK guys know any music/guitar shops in Norwich, I'd
appreciate an address and phone #. I'll even say you sent me ;-)
thanks in advance & regards,
Nik.
