    I may be making a trip to Brazil in the near future and was curious
    if anyone has any thoughts on the following:
    
    1) Do the Brazilians have any kind of reputation for building guitars,
       classical or other??
    
    2) Anybody into Brazilian music who could suggest some good musicians
       or music styles to check out?? I'm aware of an interesting 
       contemporary guitarist/vocalist. I think his name is Dvaran (sp?).

	There is a Brazilian maker of high-quality resophonic guitars (dobros) that has built instruments for Chet Atkins and Earl Klugh. There was an article on his guitars in Guitar Player some years ago, at the time (1980s) the guitars were about $200!!! Wish I could remember more about it.... Brian
