2128.0. "Where do you gig? Alternative music..." by SWAPIT::LOR () Wed Feb 27 1991 12:44
Help................
I'm in a band that is currently interested in playing some out of
town shows [reside in NY metro area] but we are unsure of how to
arrange/set-up the shows.
We play psychedelic-garage-punk/alternative type music an would be
interested in playing some underground type clubs. First maybe
in areas close by such as Philadelphia, Boston, or other parts of
Mass & Penn...., New Jersey, D.C., Vermont, New Hampshire, Ohio, etc..
-->then perhaps venturing to other parts of the U.S. and Canada. The
thing is I've been out of touch with the "scene" for a long time and
have no idea what clubs are out there.
Does anyone/Can anyone help me out? I am basically looking to compile
a list of underground clubs/address/phone number/contact or colleges
to possibly set up a few gigs. If you know of any bands that I
should contact please include them also.
Basically....anything would help.
Thank you....
Rick

| Rick,
I saw a note in one of the conferences (either this one or MUSIC) that
described a place that had advertized that they would send you a list
of contacts and addresses of all the college radio stations in the
country for something like $25. This might help.
