2020.0. "WGIR Benefit Auction - November 17, 1990" by IMPULS::STARR (SRV.....I can't believe you're gone.......) Mon Nov 05 1990 13:59

WGIR (101.1FM in Manchester, NH) is holding its annual benefit auction on
November 17th (Saturday). Not sure of the times, but I think its 10am-4pm,
or somewhere around there. Its being held at Classics, which is located at
the Manchester Airport. Admission is $1.

Some of the things they have for sale/auction sound real interesting. I don't
know the details, but included are a guitar signed by Crosby Still and Nash,
a guitar signed by Eric Clapton (!), and a guitar signed by Stevie Ray Vaughn
(sigh...)

Also, there are various live performances (including our own Charlie Farren).
Performers in previous years included Eddie Money, Ace Frehely, Fiona, and
others.

Pretty good day - you get to see lots of collectibles, and even buy some,
all for a buck!

The annual WGIR is being held tomorrow (Saturday, Nov. 21st). Performers
this year include Charlie Farren, Del Fuegos, Eric Gales, and some other
acts I can't think of right now.

Some of the things up for auction include a Gibson Epiphone signed by Guns
and Roses, a Fender guitar signed by ZZ Top, a box set signed by Keith
Richards, a Bruce Springsteen platinum album, and lots of other things....

The auction runs from 11:00am-5:00pm, and all proceeds go to charity.
Admission is $2. There are also smaller items that can be purchased for
like $10-15.
