Has anyone heard the latest (or other) Chris Rea cd? I have heard only a couple tunes, but really like the vocal and acoustic combinations on Road to Hell and Josephine. That Josephine tune reminds me of old Fleetwood Mac (Mystery to Me and some cuts from "Heroes").

"Texas", from the Road to Hell album got a lot of airplay on one of the 'progressive' stations out here in Seattle. Nice writing, with some tasty and simple slide work and good production.... Peter | |||||

I have seen Chris 3 times live and his playing doesn't seem to come across on his albums. All his albums have 'some nice licks' but seeing him live the guy plays a mean slide and his vocals are something else. I can't think of any of his albums that you would class as great guitar tracks, most are behind the vocals with a few restrained licks but my favourite albums are 'Wired to the Moon' and 'Shamrock Diaries'.
