| That's a nice guitar!!!! Try the duncans though .....they'll
probably really improve the sound; those guitars used to come with
Dimarzio super II pickups and they're really shrill and brittle
sounding. Good luck with it - it will probably serve you well

| There are an awaful lot of SD available.
1st you have to know if you want distortion or clean sound.
IMO get the cleanest and distort elsewhere

The Iceman came out in the late seventies. A special Paul Stanley
model, with fancy cosmetics was also made. In the early eighties, an
Iceman II was introduced. Neither model was especially popular, I
would think the value in the US for one in mint shape would be $300 or
so. A good buy for someone who wants a Les Paul/SG sound for cheap.

| re: -1 & Value
Oh contraire...there has been a recent surge in the marketplace for
people looking to buy used Icemans! I would bet the guitar would
see in the $500+ range due to its increased popularity amoung the 90s
rockers!

PS - The Paul Stanley model is esp. rare and worthy

What a bargain, except for the mikes the state is almost mint and I bought it
for 140 $ with its case.

I bought one used about 9 years ago.
Hated it and burned it at a gig in the middle of a Hendrix set.
Something about the shape just made me twitch..

| I have a friend that plays for Tony Childs, and he swears by his.
On the side he plays everything from RUSH to Stevie Ray to Dregs
through a Lab Series.
His was one of the prototypes, #4. The tobacco sunburst finish, takes
away some of that heavy metal look.
just my two cents,
