1852.44 | how about these? | SUBWAY::YATES | | Fri Jul 06 1990 14:10 | 19 |
|
This listing is great. Do you have any info on the following?
Mick Taylor - I know he used to use old Les Pauls
Keith Richards - there may not be enough disk space for this
Mike Bloomfield - Les Pauls?
Albert King - He used to use an old flying V. Now?
What type of Les Paul is Les Paul using these days? He's
here in NY every monday. I should really get over and see him
play.
I do remember seeing an old CHESS cover where Buddy Guy had
an OLD white 3 humbucking pickup SG.
thanks

1852.45 | Lonnie Mack | ISLNDS::KELLY | | Thu Jul 12 1990 09:24 | 13 |
| I did a show with Lonnie Mack this past weekend...always fun to
meet one of your guitar heroes (he put out 'Memphis' in about '62).
He uses a Flying V (has two of the little beauties on stage) through
a a Gallien-Krueger (sp?) combo amp driving two custom enclosures,
each containing a 12in speaker. He also plays acoustic in part
of the show.
He headed up a four piece band (drums, bass, piano (CP70), and guitar).
Refreshing to see a 'famous' musician who's still very hot and fresh,
not someone who's trading on past glory.
Regards,
John K.
