There are two "Scoop" albums, the other one is called "Another Scoop".
I believe both were double albums. Label is/was Atco. Both are out on
CD.
A popular LP a few years ago was "The Secret Policeman's Ball" on
Island, that had P.T. doing "Pinball Wizard" and "Won't Get Fooled
Again" and Sting doing "Roxanne" and "Message in a Bottle".

| Anyone know of any tablature books of acoustic renditions of classic
rock songs?
I am currently trying to put together a half decent solo acoustic
version of Mark Knopfler's 'Going Home'. Its going OK but its hard
work. Knopfler does an acoustic version on the soundtrack LP of Local
Hero but he has the luxury of keyboard backing. In other words he only
plays lead.
Same for Earl Klugh's version of Dance With Me, another piece I'm
working on. He also has the luxury of a backing band.

I assume this is out on an album -- anyone know the title? I do some
transcriptions of things for solo/duo acoustic (e.g., Clarence Carter's
Slip Away, Hank Williams I Won't Be Home No More, Lester Young things,
Elmore James' One Way Out), and people keep telling me about "Fahey's

Uh, it's on two albums...or rather when Rounder/Varrick came out with a
Fahey CD they pulled "Layla" off a different LP as a bonus track.
The titles? Uh, I'll have to look it up. There is mention of this in
COOKIE::FOLK_MUSIC, though...

Now I remember seeing a mention in FOLK_MUSIC -- will look it up there.
Thanks for the info. (Actually it's almost enough to know what formats
it's in, Fahey releases being fairly easy to locate in the Boston area.)

| A duo called Ruskin And Ross from LA do all sorts of stuff on
fingerpicked acoustic 6 strings -- some of it fun, some of it a little
too cute. One of their albums "Sounds Familiar" has some first-rate
Steely Dan and other late '60s to early '70s stuff on it. Released on
Revere Records. (Now if I only had it on CD I could program it to skip
the acoustic "California Girls" cut whenever I put it on...). So if
you think everything sonds better on Vinatage Martin's, this one's for
you!
