| Well, it wasn't really a solo...He was just doing accents synced with
the drummer. For those not familiar with Kix, they're in the AC/DC
vein of rock.

The trick is to use flatwound strings.
Much easier on the forehead.
I once had this idea to come out with special strings for the various
guitar tricks.
Like the Eddie Van Halen set would come with cigarette holders
on the ends.
And there's the "Jimi Hendrix" set for people who play with their
teeth - available in a wide variety of flavors...

| I do almost the same thing but just a little different. I
lay down on the stage and have someone else bang a guitar over
my head.
Dave (who is not yet experienced enough to do it the
other way yet)

I know its an old EVH trick, but I kinda like the way that Vai
takes off his guitar in Whtesnakes "Fool for your Lovin" video,
lays it down on the floor and plays it like a keyboard, using two
handed tapping.
It makes me wonder though - what came first ? The lick he's actually
playing or the idea to take his guitar off and pose!
