Help! Might anyone out there in VT land know where I can get a copy of some music (prferably tablature) for Arlo Guthrie's "Alice's Resturant"? Or maybe someone who knows it could post it for the benefit of many? The entire song (all 18:20) is the same riff repeated over and it sounds simple, but I can't seem to get it together. It's played with a capo at the second fret - but I only figured that one out from seeing him play it at the Casino last week (*great* show, by the way). A-folkie-in-training, Brad

<Hey Brad, How's your new Les paul doing?> This riff is typically played in C major. Starts as a move up from G, and requires no capo at all. I do not have any charts for this, but I could show it to you at your convienence. Regards - Pete

I have it all tabbed out somewhere. I usta use it when I was teaching as an intro to ragtime. It's been about ten years since I had my hands on it, so I can't promise I'll find it. Bob

OK, I found the tab. Two or three other people sent me mail about it. If you'll drop me another line or call DTN 343-1693, we can work out the logistics. Bob |
