1274.0. "IPS-33 Smart-Shift Harmonizer by Digitech" by FOO::BHAVNANI (SYS$UNWIND - laid back VMS) Sat Apr 22 1989 01:05

	Does anyone have any information (price, experiences with) about
	the IPS (intelligent pitch shifter) which I think is made by
	Digitech? I understand it will allow you to virtually "dial a
	harmonic" that you can mix with a fundamental. Btw, it's a
	rackmount main operated job.

	Tnx,

	/ravi

    I have a copy of the manual. What do you want to know?

    It's on sale this month at EU Wurlitzer's in Boston for $499 which is the
    best price I've seen on it yet. It usually goes for at least $100
    more.

    Somewhere I wrote up my initial impressions (from a demo) of it.
    I'll see if I can provie a pointer to that review.

    The IPS has seen an upgrade (IPS33B). Digitech has also just released
    a "Whammy" pedal. It looks like a volume pedal, but it does pitch
    bending, controllable pitch detune chorus, and harmony shifts.
