| The last time I talked to them, which was several months ago, they were
still in Stoneham at (617) 438-1786.

| Thanks, I just realized what I did. I called 508 information
instead of 617 information. Seems like the operator should have
known Stoneham wasn't in the 508 area, but they didn't.
Thanks again,
Peter

1151.3 | New England Speaker Robbed! | LEDS::ORSI | Stimpy's Magic Nose Goblins | Wed Oct 21 1992 07:28 | 16 |

New England Speaker was robbed at gunpoint yesterday morning. The
robbers made everyone lie on the floor while they cleaned the place
out of the high buck speaker systems in the show room. The media
interviewed Gary, (ace recone guy) still visibly shaken, and he said
that it happened so fast that he didn't see their faces or even whether
they had masks on or not. The robbers were reported to have sped off in
a red foreign vehicle. He didn't lose his sense of humor, however, because
he said "I know we have the best prices in town, but this is ridiculous."
I can only imagine what it's like to have a gun stuck in my face. I hope
they recover, in every way, from this. I've done quite a bit of business
with them and they're the best around.

I recently purchased two banana-to-1/4 adaptors from NE Speaker for $9
each. A large music store chain quoted me $25 EACH for the same item.
I told the folks at NE Speaker about the price difference and they
said "That comes as a surprise?"
Bummer that they were ripped off....hope it wasn't a musician....
