Can someone please put me out of my misery? Who played guitar
on the Hill Street Blues theme tune?

Well...
Larry played the guitar solo. There are other guitar parts that
I think someone else played.
BTW, Mike Post, the guy who wrote that theme as well as many other
TV theme's has a few albums out. I have his "TV Themes" album
and I really enjoy the music on it. I recommend it to the open
minded.
