| A friend of mine bought one that was factory reconditioned. It looks
and plays like new. He bought it from Daddy's Junky Music in Nashua,
N.H. for $339 including hard shell case. I couldn't believe the
deal he got. I thought you couldn't touch them for less than $600.
His has the shallow bowl body, cutaway, palathetic pickup with 2
band EQ, and a sunburst finished top. Plays and sounds great.
Check them out. They are a stones throw from Westminster Ma.

769.3 | not that far | ANT::JACQUES | | Fri Aug 12 1988 09:24 | 6 |
| From the Fitchburg area, I can be in Nashua in about 30 minutes,
Westminster is the next town from Fitchburg. If you take route 13,
you can get there much quicker than rt 2, 495, 3.

| I went to Daddys in Nashua this weekend. It took 45 mins. I asked
about a reconditioned guitar but they only get them once in a blue
moon. The only deal they could offer me was $720 + my Yamaha FG355.
I will try music stores in this area (Fitchburg Music, Music Box,
Acton Music ) Advise me please!
Paul.

769.5 | Anyone with a smooth back? | IND::COMAROW | For music, there must be silence | Tue Aug 16 1988 18:29 | 8 |
| Now,
If anyone has any of the "smooth back" Ovations, they have thinner
tops, necks that warp, I want it.
They need work, and were basically demo models, but they sound
very different from the later models. I had one, one of many guitars
I regret losing.
