| Does anyone know if he (they) will be playing in Portland, Oregon,
or around the Ithaca/Cayuga Lake region at all?
I caught TV footage of a Dire Straits concert with Clapton as
Knopfler's backup guitarist. Awesome, man, awesome!!!

| Hi all,
you people over in UK get treats like this all the time , don't
you ? Prince's trust shows must be full of this kind of line-ups,
Harrison and Clapton just for starters also didn't the A.R.M.S show
have Clapton, Beck, Page together for a Layla jam . I would fly to the
UK to see these kinds of mind blowing line-ups (if I had a ticket).
But right now I happy as a pig in s*&% because I got one ticket to
see this show (Clapton & Knopfler) . How hard is it to get a ticket
to things like the Prince's trust shows ? tough I would think......

I would like to clear something up. I was the person who wrote
the original slogan on the wall a few years back. I would like
to clear up any misunderstanding as I made a slight spelling error:
I meant to write CLAPTON IS GOOD, but well, you know what its like
when you're young and have had a few drinks.
Sorry if it confused anyone.

I wasn't sure where to put this, but here is as good as anyplace, I
guess. In the August issue of Guitar Player magazine, there is a
free recording of Derek and the Dominoes' version of Jimi Hendrix's
"Little Wing". This is a previously unreleased version, with Clapton
playing a lot of wah-wah. It sounds like it may be live, but I didn't
hear any applause at the end, so it may a "live in the studio" cut.
I don't really know much info about it - I just heard it on the radio
this morning.
I also don't know the format - soundpage? 45? cassette?
If anyone has any info, please post it!
