Another great rumor or two: 1. Supposedly, the new Gibson management has acquired National/Dobro in addition to their deal with Steinberger....also supposedly they are taking over Ramirez classical guitars and Flatiron mandolins!!!!! 2. B.C. Rich is discontinuing all of their original designs.....the Bich, Eagle and Mockingbird will no longer be available. No word on the Warlock and Ironbird, two *very* ugly axes anyway. The new onees will all be Fenderish, like the ST-3 series. You got a collector's item, now, Stevie.... 3. The new Fender amps are being built in the Sunn facility in Oregon. New bass amps and PAs from Sunn to be shown at NAMM this week.

re: rumor 1. I heard about National/Dobro and Flatrion, but Ramirez?! Could it be they're just taking over the stateside operations? Irrelevant trivia: On a lot of their models, Gibson uses the same bridge design as Martin. Did ya ever notice that Gibson turns it around backwards? Bob |
