1540.0. "ORA-00020: maximum number of process exceeded..." by VAXRIO::NOVELLO (Cristina Novello - Sales Suport/RJ) Mon Apr 07 1997 08:49
Hi,
our customer is using Oracle 7.3 for VMS.
He is also using Oracle Reports. He can connect 2 users to the
same database (orcl). When he try to connect the third user
he gets the following error at the client:
ORA-00020: maximum number of process (10) exceeded
I was told to edit the INIT.ORA of ORCL to change the process
parameter.
There was no process parameter defined and the manual says its
default value is 50 (not 10). I shutdown the database, change
the parameter to 100, startup, without success.
Any ideas what parameter do I have to change?
Thanks in advance,
Cristina.
