329.0. "How do you buy a PC from DIGITAL Australia?" by AUSS::BELL (Caritas Patiens est) Thu May 01 1997 16:05

Has anyone looked at the http://www.digital.com.au and tried to find a
name or phone number to purchase PC's. Or even tried to send mail to
the web master to report problems with the page?

http://www.pc.digital.com.au/ may be better for PCs but that doesn't
    seem to provide the info.

The phone number for PCs seems to be 132393 and that information is
under "How to Buy" off the Digital Australia home page. That number is
also listed in the SPT Telephone Directory under "PC ACTION LINE" where
7590 would be an alternative for those on the SPT phone network.

For blind feedback try webmaster@xxx where xxx is a homepage. Works for
    most web sites.

I am the person who originally wanted some information regarding where
to buy digital products. I have for some time known that digital was
difficult to buy from, but was unprepared for the difficulty of
    obtaining information on resellers.
The information is apparently available on the www.digital.com.au
page but only if you are using the latest and greatest browser. My
multia does not support this. I was eventually able to track down some
of the information I was after by browsing the US home page.
I had no trouble getting a list of australian sources for BLUE
    products.
I have also found that internal "sales" people are not
knowledgeable about different services, and that getting a response
from sales people can sometimes be difficult.

While I am prepared to push through these barriers I feel that a
lot of potential customers are not
