FWIW, my older son was VERY successful (800/720) using only the study
books that provide old SAT tests. If you look at the sheet that showed
your child's PSAT scores, you'll notice that the questions in each
section tend to start easy and get progressively harder. That piece of
"quizmanship" can be turned to the test taker's advantage.
Another thing that has been shown to be quite helpful on the verbal
part of the SAT is READING. It doesn't matter much WHAT they read, as
long as it challenges their vocabulary skills.
I don't know if the SAT preparation software available for the Amiga or
other home computers accomplishes the same ends. I suspect the books
are cheaper.
