We just had a sale of surplus stock here at work and I managed to pick up a microVAX 2000 for a VERY cheap price. Now that's it at home I decided that it would make a great bullitien board system. I could you DEC's products like vaxnotes/vms mail ... and tie them all together but I'd thought I check first and see if anyone has heard of any BBS software for VMS. Of course this would be an AMIGA ONLY BBS :-) Shaun.

Yes, There is a BBS software for VMS. Available on DECUS tapes and via FTP there is a package called BULLETIN that may do what you want. You may even find it on the Enet if you look around - I don't know where though. John | |||||

Thanks for the pointer John. Does anyone know if these tapes are on EASYNET ? I asked our DECUS person and he says that we don't have access to the decus stuff. Thanks Shaun. P.S. I know this is the wrong conference to post these questions but I throw myself on the mercy of the court. eg. I get a more intelligent response from wuestions on the amiga conference that any other. Also the BBS is going to further the amiga PD software base thereby futhering the amiga :-) |
