Hi Guys, Does anyone out there have a recommendation for a printer in the $100 - $150 range, preferably color and definately reliable. A friend of mine wishes to get one for her husbands Amiga 500 as a Christmas gift. Thanks for any info... - Jim

You're going to have a hard time finding a reliable printer in that price range. Because low-cost printers are very mechanical, a well-used printer is likely to be unreliable. New printers sell for about $230, so only a used printer would fit your price. John Sauter

Check out the Star Micronics Rainbow (similar to NX1000, color printer but 9pin, instead of 24pin). It usually can be had for cheap. Lasts a long time, inexpensive ribbons, etc! No connection with Star, just like their printers. Clark

I have one of the STar nx1020-rainbow printers. It cost me $239. I suppose one might find them for less, though. It is a nice little color printer. |
