Hi Guys,
Does anyone out there have a recommendation for a printer
in the $100 - $150 range, preferably color and definately
reliable.
A friend of mine wishes to get one for her husbands Amiga
500 as a Christmas gift.
Thanks for any info...

You're going to have a hard time finding a reliable printer in that
price range. Because low-cost printers are very mechanical, a
well-used printer is likely to be unreliable. New printers sell for
about $230, so only a used printer would fit your price.

Check out the Star Micronics Rainbow (similar to NX1000, color printer
but 9pin, instead of 24pin). It usually can be had for cheap. Lasts a
long time, inexpensive ribbons, etc!
No connection with Star, just like their printers.

I have one of the STar nx1020-rainbow printers. It cost me $239. I
suppose one might find them for less, though. It is a nice little
color printer.
