5276.1 | Different layouts expected | CLO::COBURN | Growing older, but not up... | Mon Dec 16 1991 14:53 | 8 |
| Not directly... Each system writes its own disk layout that it needs,
although the media encoding is the same (MFM). With MSH or CrossDOS on
the Amiga then the MSDOS FORMATted disk can be read or written to.
I am unaware of any software that will let MSDOS read an AmigaDOS
diskette.

5276.3 | Yes, it works... | CLO::COBURN | Growing older, but not up... | Wed Dec 18 1991 12:55 | 11 |
| Yes, If you have CrossDOS or MSH running on the Amiga. The 3.5"
diskette must be formatted at 720K. There are also some patches for the
software (PCcopy3.5) I beleive that allow the PCCopy software supplied
with AmigaDOS to work with the 3.5" floppy. PCCopy was originally
written to work with low density 5.25" floppies.
I find CrossDOS very stable and works nearly transparently with the
Amiga commands like COPY, DIR etc... It is also very cheap - $25
mailorder.

Are you talking about PCUtil from WB1.3? If so, refer Note 5057 - you need
PCPatch off Fish 218 to use the A500 3.5".
