5268.1 | Any switch settings need to change? | XSNAKE::WILSONTL | Lead Trumpet (Read that...LEED!) | Fri Dec 13 1991 09:31 | 3 |
| Is there a switch you originally had to set on your Panasonic to make
it act like an Epson? I know I had to do that on my (older) Panasonic
when I discovered there was no driver available for it AS a Panasonic.

| I just stumbled across this usenet posting last night. And a check of
the recent ab20 directory listing shows the file to be there.

If you know how to request files from ab20, I'll let you go ahead and
do it on your own, otherwise send me mail. (I thought there was another
recent note asking for this driver as well).

Wich is wrong ;-( There is a panasonic driver available
called PanasonicPlus. You should find it on ab20 somewhere. Maybe
it's also available on CompuServe, but make sure you get version
>= 5 . The driver is much faster than Nec_Pinwriter, supports
68020/68030 and more...

5268.3 | drivers from ab20... | STAR::DCARR | Guru: a 4-letter word to Amiga owners | Fri Dec 13 1991 11:16 | 9 |
| Due to popular demand :-) and a fast response from ab20, the following
files have been uploaded to eot::amiga:[upload]
PanasonicPlus-V5.readme
PanasonicPlus-V5.lzh
You're on your own as to whether these work, I've only got an 1191.

5268.4 | Just use the Epson selection | CSC32::K_APPLEMAN | | Fri Dec 13 1991 12:01 | 11 |
| Since the KXP-1124 does FULL Epson LQ-2500 emulation, why not just
keep on using the Epson driver? This is what I do and have never had
a problem with it.
re -.2 There are no dip switches on the KXP-1124. There are some
EEPROM-type memory selections that can set the printer to either epson
or I*M ProPrinter emulation. I don't really know if there is even a
"native" Panasonic mode.
