| I have a very similar setup.
Amiga 2000 rev 4.4
A2630 4MB rev -06 ROMS
A2320 De-interlacer
Hardframe 2000 1.9 ROMS
A2058 4MB RAM
Maxtor LXT-210 200MB drive
Seagate ST-296N 82MB drive
I have had occational stability problems but I don't have any constant
problems.
I have noticed problems with certain programs if I turn on the Data
Cache. Do you use SETCPU to adjust the '30 processor? I currently
use SETCPU FASTROM.
A few months ago I had a problem develop with the 030. It would
operate, but if I attempted to execute the SETCPU FASTROM command the
system would crash. I sent the board back under warranty, and it was
replaced.
My plan has been to use 16-bit RAM for disk buffers. My startup file
uses MEMPRI to favor 16-bit RAM before I use ADDBUFFERS. Then I use
MEMPRI to favor 32-bit memory when the startup ends.

Thanks Len,
I found that I have a blown Cap (C508) and its possible that
something else has blown ...
I'll have to wait a while before sending back my card as it's going
to cost me...
System is now a standard A2000(B) with 8-meg of 16-bit memory...
BTW where is MEMPRI ??? is it on EOT ??
I'll update you later as to the out come.!!!!

| I'm sure I got MEMPRI somewhere off the Digital network. I have had it
for about a year now, I got it just after I got the A2630 board.
I think that Christian Balzer uploaded it, and gave a pointer to it
somewhere in this note file.

More on the A2630 saga ...
Last night I put back the 2091 and the config is now this
A2630+4 Megs , A2091 plus 40 Meg drive , and an 8-UP with 4-Megs
Formatted the drive copied Workbench 1.3.3 to the 40 Meg Partition
a added setcpu 1.6 to the startup...
System is now seems to be stable....I can open windows ed files all
without a single guru...
I will try tonight to us my 380 meg drive only.. and see what
happens...
(I also put back the top cover...to keep it cool)

I'm now back to the HP drive and all of my s/w restored...
The system seems very stable ... So it just might be I have a
problem with the Hardframe.... Work o.k. under 68000 but crashes under
68030 mode...

| What rev motherboard do you have? If it's 4.*, you may need to add a
pull-up resistor on one of the DMA handshake lines. This was an
official mod from Commodore to fix some DMA problems on accelerated
machines. Details were posted in this conference about 2(?) years ago.

5243.7 | Rev 6.2 motherboard | ARRODS::GOLDSTEIN | Steve G. DTN: 847-5401 | Tue Dec 17 1991 18:05 | 24 |

The motherboard is rev 6.2 the hardframe has had the latest rom 1.9
installed (don't know the rev of the board) the A2630 has rom rev 4
(don't know the board rev)
A2091 is Modified rev 4 with rom 6.1
The new Nexus and A2091 work with the rev 6.1 motherboard...
Look like a problem with the Microbotic HardFrame..I even called
Microbotic and was told there should be no problems...
One problem Microbotics might have solved for me is I couldn't Amigados
format the HP 380 meg drive. The solution was is to change the
cylinders to 256 (HP see it at 488 which is got from 8 heads and 56
blocks per cylinders) and mod the blocks per cylinders...
Spoke to a company to order some software and just happened to tell
him about this problem and he told me he had the same problems and
junked the hardframe...
