Just a guess; are they BOTH trying to auto boot at the same
time ? Do they EACH have devices on them with the same scsi id
numbers ?

| I did not used both SCSI controller at the same time.
The problem is between the 8UP memory board and the Trum. Pro
interface.
I have tried the Trump.Pro with a Commodore 8 meg memory and it is
working find.
So I guess I will have to try another 8 UP and see if there is any
conclusion that comes out.
Thank's for the reply

5231.3 | Earier IVS controller had same incompatibility | TLE::RMEYERS | Randy Meyers | Wed Nov 27 1991 19:54 | 18 |
| Re: .0
For what it is worth:
That had a Pacific Peripherals Overdrive controller. The Pacific Peripherals
controller was designed by IVS.
I also have an ASDG 8 meg memory board.
The two did not work together. The controller would cause memory to
be corrupted. The problem according to ASDG was that the controller
ignored the bus protocol that should have prevented DMA when the
memory card was doing refresh.
Both ASDG and Pacific Peripherals agreed that the disk controller would
work with a Commodore memory board because it used a different refresh
strategy. Unfortunately, they disagreed over whose hardware was at
fault.

5231.4 | Bad 8UP board. | KAOFS::H_LECOMPTE | Acid Rain: It's raining death | Fri Nov 29 1991 12:13 | 6 |
| I have tried another 8UP board and it is working correctly.
I will send my 8UP to Microbotics for repair.
