5162.0. "cheap shopping in Mass/NewHampshire" by GVA02::SLOAN (we have met the enemy and he is us) Thu Oct 31 1991 03:47

    I'm visiting Mass/New Hampshire next week. Where are the cheap Amiga
    shops in the area?

    What I'm really interested in is to buy a hard for my 500.

    Would System Eyes be worthwhile a visit? If so can anyone give me
    directions.

    Regards

    Steven Sloan @geo or GVA02::sloan

    System Eyes has a GVP hard drive for the 500 on sale right now. I
    forgot how much it was marked down though. You also save tax wise.
    I don't know where you are now but the number is (603)889-1234.

    re: .0, .1

    You should also check out Memory Location in Wellesley, MA.

    To get to System Eyes drive North on route 3 to New Hampshire exit 7.
    Go West on route 101A to Greystone Plaza. Greystone Plaza is at 650
    Amherst Street, though it looks like " 50" because the sign is missing
    a digit. Look for a Wendy's on your right and an animated sign on your
    left at a stoplight.

    System Eyes is one of the stores in Greystone Plaza. It's got a big
    sign---you can't miss it.

    The GVP hard drive was on sale for $630 last I checked.

5162.3Try A&D Computer also.VERELL::BOAENSat Nov 02 1991 00:2018
Hmm,
	If you're going to System Eyes, you might want to also go about 5
miles further to A&D computer in the 2nd town out 101A (think it's Milton
NH). Going west on 101A from Nashua, the town has a village square that you
must circle around. you want to go around about 270 degrees to Rte 13
heading south. A&D is a small place on your right roughly 1/2 mile from the
town square.

	They're a small place, but have very good software prices,
usually within 10% of mail-order places like CSN (formerly ABLE).
I've found the fellow there the most courteous and cooperative
around. Very willing for you to test run any software on the shelf.
Example price: I just bought DPaintIV for ~$115 or so. It was $15
over the best mail-order price I could find, I figured with shipping
costs it wasn't worth the wait.

5162.4Actually, Milford...MKODEV::OSBORNEWed Nov 06 1991 15:3823

It's MILFORD, N.H. I live there. Otherwise, I agree. The owner is friendly
and helpful and a real Amiga enthuseast. His prices are the best I've seen for
hardware, too. The selection of software is not large, yet, but growing.

If you do not want to drive through Milford (and I wouldn't wish the center-
of-town traffic on my worst enemy), Take the 101 "bypass" WEST before you
come to Milford (it's the only overpass on 101A). Take the next exit off 101
(Says route 13, Brookline and Milford), and turn right at the end of the ramp.
A&D is about a mile up on the left. It's hard to spot, just a small blue sign
designed to look like a floppy disk. The "store" is in the basement of a
small apartment building.

I have no affiliation with A&D except as a highly satisfied customer.
