5143.0. "Where Are They??" by IRNBRU::RALEXANDER (Robin Alexander) Thu Oct 24 1991 13:39

I Hope you can help. I have recently set up a
3000 on the local LAN and was wondering if there
is an easynet archive of all the Fish Disks??

Browsing though the notes it looks as if TAPE::
is/was the only one. I have tried doing a dir
but all i get is

%DIRECT-E-OPENIN, error opening TAPE::USER0:[AMIGA]*.*;* as input
-RMS-E-FND, ACP file or directory lookup failed
-SYSTEM-F-INVLOGIN, login information invalid at remote node

Do you know of a central archive of fish disks???
I am particularly looking for the following numbers
434 444 450 455 468 458 467 487 **491** 492 497 498
529 528 532 534

Thanks
Robin

Robin,

First loon in  EOT::AMIGA:[UPLOAD]FF*.LZH

if they're not there, they've probably been moved to the fish archive area
which is organized as a series of subdirectories, each with 50 archive files.
The naming goes like this:

EOT::AMIGA:[AMIGA.FISH.Zxxx] where xxx is the number of the first disk in
                                                    the archive.

last reply finished..... sorry, another decwindows user problem ...

Example:

EOT::AMIGA:[AMIGA.FISH.Z400] contains disks 400-449 (usually in .LZH fmt)
EOT::AMIGA:[AMIGA.FISH.Z450]           contains disks 450-499
    etc.

    And how about DECWRL::"/pub/micro/amiga/fish/" ???
    They have all the FISH-disks in separate directories and LHARC'ed by
    'programs/directory', So you don't have to beam_down the complete disk.

    Hope this is any help.
