I just made some inquiries at EA about DP III to DP IV upgrades for
canadian customers. I was told to submit the cover of the manual plus
US$60.- plus US$7.- for shipping. This seems like a lot for an upgrade when
I only paid CAN$90.- for the original software. Can someone please
comment on this.

The list price for Deluxe Paint IV is US$180, so you are getting
180-60=US$120 for your CAN$90 investment. I don't know what the
current exchange rate is, but if it is close to 1:1 you are getting a
good deal.

The price quoted at a local store is $182, so $67 doesn't seem too bad. I've been buying the upgrades faithfuly since before it had a Roman Numeral. It's never been a disappointment. The 800 number is 800-245-4525. If you live in a state other than California, I think the total price will be $67. Just in case anyone else was wondering, the fee for upgrading from DP-II to DP-IV is $97. Everything else is the same. I was told to send it to the attention of U40-GINO. Paul | |||||

DP-III is $56.
