Hello,
A quick answer maybe !
Not that i have the money for it but on an AMIGA 500 can you only
upgrade to 8Mb of RAM ? or could you join through bus through for
exemple 2,3,4,... Supra 500RX an build up 8*2,3,4... RAM ?
Cheers, Patrick

No, the 3000 is the first Amiga capable of using more than 9MB total
memory.

The A500 (and its siblings the A1000 and A2000) are limited to 9MB
(512KB on the mother board + 512KB in the A501 clock/memory expansion +
up to 8MB of additional RAM wherever you put it) by the address lines
that are visible to the CPU. In case you hadn't noticed, THAT'S A LOT!
(AmigaDOS isn't as much of a memory pig as certain other systems).
Unless you're into SERIOUS desktop publishing (in which case, you'd
probably also want a CPU accelerator) or creating large animations,
you're not likely to be limited by this.
You can break the 9MB barrier on A2000 systems by using accelerator
cards that have on-board 32-bit RAM. They also have the additional
address lines to service same. The A3000 is built with a 32-bit bus
and sufficient memory address lines to service 18MB (2MB CHIP
RAM + 16MB Fast RAM).
